We’ve seen a couple of birds we don’t usually see. I wasn’t able to get many pictures of each, so thought I would put each of them on here.
This is a juvenile yellow-bellied sapsucker. It is still brownish, and doesn’t have the red that you see on the adult sapsuckers. I’ve seen the adults but never a young one like this.
This next one is a brown thrasher. It has been around for the last couple of days, but it’s been very difficult to catch a photo of it. Hopefully I will be able to get more if it stays around.
Merganzers aren’t rare, but we haven’t seen many this year. They are much more skittish than mallards, so when we do see them it isn’t for very long.
What an amazing world God has made for us with all kinds of birds and animals to enjoy!
