I saw a pair of loons today when I was out in the kayak. They were very accommodating, and came up around my kayak several times. They didn’t seem to care that I was there. Loons are probably one of my favourite birds to photograph. God’s handiwork is amazing.

As far as I know, this is a sharp-shinned hawk. Apparently it is difficult to know the difference between a Sharp-Shinned Hawk and a Cooper’s Hawk.
