A few days ago we realized that our hummingbird feeder was emptied during the night, so we set up our trail camera to see if we could catch a photo of the culprit.

Our bandit
We were amazed that the feeder wasn’t broken. It looks like he was hanging on to it and tipping it so that he could drink from it.

I think we can be thankful that it was a raccoon and not a bear.

This picture looks like he is looking at the camera and wondering if he has been caught in his thieving act.

According to the trail camera he was there for a couple of hours until it was completely drained.

Of course, we will be bringing the feeder in at night.
