I was trying this summer to get some photos of the great blue herons that are on our lake. Finally, there was one this week that co-operated with me and let me get some pictures. It was in the morning during sunrise and foggy conditions, so I was able to get some silhouette pictures too.

These photos are from a few months ago. I know we just had a full “blue” moon, but I didn’t get out to take any pictures of it. When the moon is full and the sky is clear, it can seem pretty bright out. Beautiful.
It’s been awhile since I tried taking some pictures of water drops, so last winter I did some more.
This time of year, we see a lot of fog on the lake and in the area. These are some of the pictures I’ve taken in the last month or so. It’s a peaceful quiet time and we can enjoy it when we are walking around the lake, or taking the kayak out.
We went on a colour tour yesterday. I think it’s one of the most beautiful falls we have had in a long time.
