Recently we put two trail cameras up behind our house. We’ve seen a fox, a turkey, and two fishers. Today we were able to see the fisher in the daytime. It was pretty fascinating to see and we hope to see it more often in the future.

Sunsets
Winter sunsets are beautiful on our lake. We get to see them better because the sun is further south and the sunsets are on the west side of the lake.
Winter fog
Winter is definitely here. The snow has come, the lake has frozen, and the ice fishing is well underway. At times, our lake looks like it has a fishing village on it. When the sun is shining in the mornings, we often see fog on the lake. It’s a beautiful time.
Mourning Doves
We have several mourning doves staying in our area. I know a lot of people find them to be a nuisance, but we have been enjoying seeing them. This morning they were sitting on trees with the sun shining on them, and the trees behind were in shadow – perfect chance to get some pictures. […]

November Foggy Mornings
We’ve been blessed with some beautiful weather this month. I’ve enjoyed the fog in the mornings.
Great Blue Heron
I was trying this summer to get some photos of the great blue herons that are on our lake. Finally, there was one this week that co-operated with me and let me get some pictures. It was in the morning during sunrise and foggy conditions, so I was able to get some silhouette pictures too.
North American River Otters

Views of the Moon
These photos are from a few months ago. I know we just had a full “blue” moon, but I didn’t get out to take any pictures of it. When the moon is full and the sky is clear, it can seem pretty bright out. Beautiful.
