We have had some freezing rain today, which put some ice on the trees. The birds, including the goldfinches, were busy around our feeders.

We were able to enjoy a winter sleigh ride the other day. The weather was beautiful, and the countryside was nice and peaceful.

Hoodoos at Canmore
While my daughter and I were in Canmore last summer, we climbed the hill behind the hotel to see the hoodoos. There were only a few, but it was well worth the climb. They do look very different from the ones in the Drumheller area.
Winter Fog
Fog in the winter looks very different from the fog we see in the summer. As the weather warms, the snow and ice can bring about a beautiful fog. This morning, I took a walk to see the fog on our lake which hid some of the fishing huts, and simplified the scenery.
