We have a pine warbler at our bird feeder. We have never had one before as far as we know. When I checked the range for this bird, it looks like it could be in our area in the summer. However, it usually goes far south (Florida) for the winter. Winter is here and so is the little bird. Hopefully it survives our winter.
It wasn’t easy for us to identify, especially since we had never seen one before. One of our neighbours was able to identify it. One of its identifying parts is the pale eye ring around the eye … making it look like it might have weak spectacles on.
We’ll be keeping an eye on it this winter to see how it is doing.
