The trilliums seem to be a bit late this year, but it worked in my favour, and I was finally able to take some pictures.

The white trillium is Ontario’s official flower. It was chosen in 1937 and became Ontario’s official logo in 1964. The logo has changed over time.

Trilliums take somewhere between 7 and 10 years before they flower. After they bloom, they might live for another 10 years as long as they aren’t damaged.

Apparently deer like the trilliums and eat the blooms. They especially like the white trilliums.
