We were finally able to visit our daughter and her husband after over a year. Tasha is “Farmer Tasha” one of the Co-Founders of Sparrow & Co. , a not-for-profit social enterprise set up in Richmond Hill (https://www.sparrowandco.org).
They have had quite a year setting up their “farm”. Lots of issues to deal with but they have persevered and we were able to see some of what is being produced. I enjoyed taking pictures of the vegetables and farm.
Water has been an issue this year. They have to truck the water in and then water from there. There was a lot of carrying of water buckets in the beginning. Now they have an irrigation system which helps.
They have also planted some flowers – this was more my style for photos, but the whole experience was interesting.
